Legally there's no issue unless you use them commercially or to slander and/or libel someone (I'm a photographer/filmmaker) Any image can be taken of anybody or anything provided it's on public property and you did not trespass to produce the images.

That said, the proper thing is to ask first. If the owner really does not want pictures shown publicly for any reason, then you should not do it out of respect for that person. In the end it's up to your own ethical philosophy.

If (the odds are pretty slim) the person sees the images on the net, and realizes they came from the dealer, then the tech may very well get reprimanded for allowing you to take the pics in the first place. After all, the dealership is on private property.

It's totally up to you; I guess you feel the pics are that important to post(?)
