I don’t have a problem with the AC in my car. I find that I will tweak the temp to 66 on warmer days more often then my older car (‘14 MB) but I think the AC is pretty reasonable. I am surprised you noted it blows warm air for a while.
On my car if I get in and it is crazy hot and I haven’t preconditioned (such as no hybrid charge or didn’t hit the button in the app) the AC system would seem to be off and only turn on a few minutes later blowing cold air. I smile almost every time this happens as in my last car I hated the hot air blast in those first couple of minutes as the AC got setup. I had thought BMW engineered that out since I get only cold air.
I don’t know if the system differs at all in the 530e, but my MY2020 has been very good. And I have had many days lately above 100F and crazy humid when getting into the car. Compared to my experience yours sound like there is a problem somewhere.
