*upgrading my Apple TV to the current 4K model.

*buying a new 4K Blu-Ray Disc player. I chose the Sony UBP-X1100ES. I've used this piece and it's predecessor very often. Easy choice. https://www.sony.com/electronics/blu...etails_default

*additional speakers. I can't install in-ceiling speakers, so I'll be using the "bounce method" where an upward-firing loudspeaker bounces its output off the ceiling. I picked KEF's best ATMOS Module... the R8a in gloss black. These will be sitting on their matching KEF R3 stand-mounted speakers already in my possession. https://www.shop.us.kef.com/r8a.html

While Im extremely versed in ATMOS systems, my experience using the bounce method is relatively limited. Being "forced" to used the bounce method IN MY OWN SYSTEM should be an interesting experience. I'm looking forward to it. My upstairs neighbors, not so much. :
I know you're a KEF guy, but I recently purchased an Arcam AVR30, and Martin Logan ESL 11A Impression speakers, an ESL C34A Illusion center speaker, and 2 Dynamo 1100X subwoofers. I'm still breaking them in, and they're coming back to sound balance them, but so far they are awesome. Way better than my ears deserve. And for me they look spectacular too!
