Interesting tidbit I forgot to mention about yesterday
The Chevy rep told me why the HP number was 495...
said it is much cheaper and easier to insure a car that has under 500 HP than one with over 500 HP.....brilliant marketing

I have a bridge to sell you. These days, engineering is pretty tightly controlled. I would not believe this unless reliable evidence proved it. BMWs making advertised "whp" is not exceeding the numbers, it's a way for them to be "stacked up" in tests against cars making less crank HP and always come out on top, which in of itself is pretty brilliant, but they aren't "exceeding" this. Very few times has this really been proven IME, lots of rumors, but unless testing is revealing figures that support the "much higher HP and TQ", it's just rumor.
