I have a 2018 540 with the full digital and a 2019 X5. I fully agree with those who prefer the previous digital cluster. It looks better, is sharper and just suits the car better. The new one is confusing, unclear and just inferior in my view. The new iDrive system is a buggy mess, too, although the center screen is much better.
