Stylistically, my biggest gripe about the otherwise sublime F10, compared to the E60, was that the hood not only was long and huge, but swept upward at the sides, significantly reducing the driver's view of the road ahead. The E60's hood was awesome the way it curved downward, so that from the cockpit you could only just see it - it was in the absolute perfect form to give you maximum vision of the road, while sufficient perspective for where the front of the car was for tight maneuvering. The F10's hood makes the car feel like the barge that it is.

The G30's hood seems to have resolved some of that visibility deficiency in the F10, but then again maybe not, seeing how they have actually moved the driver's position even further back on the frame. It's aesthetically pleasing (beautiful car), but I'll be curious to see what affect that new driving position has on the driver's perspective. We're getting into Corvette-levels of long-nosedness.

I love that the overall dash is quite a bit lower in the G30 than the F10. Again, comes back to the driver's visibility.

All-in-all, this is a very evolutionary design; quite conservative, but it looks great! I sure hope they have resolved the driving dynamics of the car, though. Our pre-LCI F10 535i is a numb wallowing barge. I hate it. I have sworn off the 5er unless and until they get that resolved. I've had a chance to drive several LCI F10s (528 and 535) and have liked them much better than ours. Heck, even the 528 with it's 4-pot drove massively better than our 6-pot 2011.
