I doubt its just BMW reporting number closer to actual dyno. First post even says "new V8", "optimized crank", "larger turbos"
Considering what the Alfa Romeo Stelio Quad and Mercedes GLC AMG acheived with 500 HP and lower torque and heavier weights, this could be 0-60 in around 3.2-3.3 seconds... I mean the M5 was 2.8 by C&D with only 70hp more
Also I have a feeling when the M8 power is announced the M5 will also get an update in 1-2 years.
