I'd much rather have a 535/540 m-sport and those will keep up for the relevant speeds unless you really are taking the car to the quarter mile for "drag races".
My wife drives a 430i GC and it is not even close. At any speed or in any situation. I like mine because it is big, comfortable, and it hauls. Not married to it long term, lease will be up in less than two years, but it has been fun. At $630 a month, not really breaking the bank. Tires and gas do add up though.
