Hi BiGFather, sorry to hear about these issues.
Concerning the transmission software, sounds strange they want to see you because one other guy seemed to have a problem. Normally it should be a commonly-identified problem and BMW as a company would recall a complete set of vehicles.
For the HK speaker, as well as for the first issue, that definitely sounds shabby treatment and I would be a total nuisance and call them every day until you get an appointment.
