Jokes aside, there was enough blame to go on both sides. No one party was faultless.

Honda needed a wake up call on their underdeveloped engine. McLaren needed some sobering on the fact that their chassis was not as good as they say/thought it was. Since then both sides have had a rethink and reshuffling of their plans/staffing.

Today shows improvement for both parties, Honda winning via Red Bull. McLaren emerging as front running team of F1.5 (midfield); so far showing off the Renault factory team. (Perhaps Ricciardo should've gone to McLaren instead of Renault; time will tell )
