Id say the top one has the Carbon diffuser (part 10) fitted
and the bottom one the paintable black diffuser (Part 9)
No restrictions are given on the parts system between the exhaust types for the 2 different diffusers

Yep that is right top carbon, bottom plastic.
Both tips must fit both I guess. I'll certainly be pissed off if I come to fit the exhaust in the future and have to change the diffuser again!!
