I've had a bit of an idea about why all sorts of our engines are losing a bit of coolant over time. I was sorting out my engine bay today, giving it a bit of a clean and topping up screenwash and I noticed that the coolant reservoir is formed in two parts - a lower section, and then an upper section with the cap. At the join level I could see a very very small amount of residue, suggesting that liquid was perhaps escaping between the two sections. It was only a very small amount, and that would tally with the level only dropping just a bit over time... What do others think? Could this be a potential reason for coolant loss particularly in the B58 engine?
