In context, a small number. It's an English language forum, and is dominated by people who have the easiest (i.e. cheapest) access to high-power-output, well-equipped BMWs around the world. As a rule, no-one here is interested in what BMW is, or does, in its home markets with "lower order" cars. |
Diesel BMW are not "lower order" cars. In Europe people buy diesel totally loaded (and it is much expensive than American versions - i.e. X5 M50d is around 160.000 USD). Second, we drive much faster on the highway than Americans, way beyond 100mph. If You drive 125mph diesel double MPG (12l/100km instead 24l/100km). BMW is German brand and yet they buy 70% diesel cars (very good equipped).
