Based in the UK and looking to buy a G30 next year.
One idea I've had is to pick up from the factory, seen many reports from people in the U.S. doing that and looks like a lot of fun.

Is it possible to do that for a car that will end up in the U.K?
Will your local dealer sort this out for you, is it cheaper in anyway?(no delivery charges!)
Are all taxes and import duties paid upfront or do you have to effectively go through the red channel when entering the U.K. and pay the appropriate duties? Assume it is registered in Germany initially and you have to register it again once back in the UK?
