I have actually run on pretty high pressures since the wait between runs is so long that the tires cool down and really dont heat up that much on the short runs.
IMHO Traction mode works surprisingly good but DSC fully off gives a slight edge although necessitating some extra care.
In traction mode you can be a bit more sloppy with the gas pedal
