I was also surprised by how quickly mine went into production with VIN--ordered 3/4, in production 3/5. From reading through the forum I would have expected a longer wait. But once in production, I waited longer than I expected for actual assembly of the car--8 days from "in production" to exterior body assembly. The further this goes, the more antsy I seem to get
