Finally bit the bullet and went for the "new" Macbook Pro. My 2012 Macbook Pro has been awesome and still performs great, but had video card die on me while in Spain, luckily the guy hooked me up and covered it under some kind of recall or something. But was afraid it may give up the ghost and being my main work machine I cant afford that. Also battery life was down to like 50%.
I really wanted to get a new or refurb Macbook Pro with the old body style and ports but couldn't find any I wanted. Saw a good deal on B&H and just said fuck it, bought some adapters and ordered the new body style.
Really happy with it so far.
