I liked BMW's original plan of creating an electric-only sub brand that would offset BMW's low mileage offerings and keep the hippies off our backs.

I don't have nearly the amount of money they are probably going to ask for this car but I would have a pretty hard time paying the premium for a car that has similar performance to an M3 with none of the creature comforts.

Of course the joker in the deck is that instead of an exotic, hand built V10 this car will use an off the shelf 3 cylinder from the future 1 Series. I would imagine that cuts down significantly on development and production costs so I guess it all depends on how economically they can produce all the electric drive components.
