Now....Wait till the 992 GT cars come out now that you see the 992 Turbo S stats just announced. There is no competition, for the 911 that is.
The P1 LM has 1000 hp and on custom pirelli Trofeos and can barely beat a GT2RS despite having nearly 50% more power and having a much stickier tire. Throw trofeos on the 2RS and I bet it beats the P1. The 991 chassis is now about 10 years old and given the 992S with 440 hp is faster than many much more powerful cars should be enough to show where this platform is headed. A 720S fun 7:14 at the Ring which is slower than a regular GT3 with only 493 hp and very little torque compatibly. Porsche simply does more with way, way, way less and IMO are more fun to drive and are far more dependable and reliable.

My guess is the new turbo S will run sub 6:50 and the 992 GT3 RS will run close to 6:40 on the Ring and will do so with only a bit above 500 hp. Not a single manufacturer could take a 520 hp car weighing the same as the 3RS and run anywhere close to its time.
