The 991 chassis is now about 10 years old and given the 992S with 440 hp is faster than many much more powerful cars should be enough to show where this platform is headed. A 720S fun 7:14 at the Ring which is slower than a regular GT3 with only 493 hp and very little torque compatibly. Porsche simply does more with way, way, way less and IMO are more fun to drive and are far more dependable and reliable.

My guess is the new turbo S will run sub 6:50 and the 992 GT3 RS will run close to 6:40 on the Ring and will do so with only a bit above 500 hp. Not a single manufacturer could take a 520 hp car weighing the same as the 3RS and run anywhere close to its time.
Where to even begin with this. Jeez. Cup 2 R's on the GT2RS are far stickier than Teofeo R's. The GT2RS on regular Cup 2's isn't that impressive at all. The 720 S on Corsas has beaten it on several occasions.

How can you compare the time of the 720 s (7:08, corsa tires by Sport Auto), to a factory effort by Porsche on super sticky tires? It should be compared to the 6:58 on Cup 2R's (Sport Auto). Sport Auto will run the 720S on Trofeos shortly, so that gap should close considerably.

Just like you were singing the 991.2 Turbo S's praises until I proved to you that the M8 kicked its ass on several tracks.

Not a single manufacturer cares as much, or dedicates as much resources, to 'Ring times as Porsche.

Let's have a bet on that 6:50 time you're quoting for the 992 Turbo S.
