Can you point me to issues with the N63TU? I've been trying to follow the F10 and X5 boards to watch for issues in the TU, and I really haven't seen much. Most everyone with issues tend to be on N63.
I'm not saying you're wrong...maybe I've just been looking in the wrong places.
Sounds like the G30's V8 is going to be a new V8 over what's currently available, but I'm not seeing any evidence that it's anything drastically new, and possibly just an evolution of the N63 series. |
most of the problems you are correct is with the N63. The N63tu is a couple of years newer so have not had as much time to develop the problems but I have read and also been told by some techs that they have already done a few engine swaps of the n63tu.

here is one guy that had problems and I think someone else in that thread had a problem with his n63tu.
I think c&d also mentioned that the bmw v8 engines has been having some problems.
n63tu still had oil consumption that was not fixed.
