Agreed but if you're in a rental car (Think Ford Sync) and you'll wish you had CarPlay. In the BMW, iDrive is significantly better.
Wireless CarPlay is available in the 2017 X5 which started production last summer with the introduction of iDrive 5.0. |
Yep we have it in our 2017 x5. Big waste of $300.
I would agree that on any other vehicle media interface the apple CarPlay would be superior but BMW just gets it so right with Idrive.
