I'm looking at buying a set of 705Ms and fit wider 255/265 front and 285/295 rear and want to make sure they fit as the offset is quite different than the OEM.

I have them. The offsets are aggressive for a G30. You will have slight poke. I went with 275/30 on all 4 corners even though the rears are wider. I also added wheel arch extensions for the rear so the poke is not as noticeable

Seems like 295s are not gonna work. I was gonna also increase the side wall by %5 all around for a more comfortable ride. For sure 295s are gonna rub. |
You can find these on ebay as well. Not oem but can't tell the difference besides the width. Ended up going with it on my car and it is a perfect fitment.

There is a guy close to me selling reps actually. I'm thinking if bimmer rim's bent, those with definitely going to bend in Toronto. |
They're mostly all alloy wheels, OEM vs reps. No wheel is an exception to potholes etc, even forged wheels. Basically any wheel at any point can crack or bend with impact
