FWIW, this thread which has a lot of posts by someone that is either a BMW employee or knows one (or more) says that not only will the M550i get the "new" V8 but that it will also have the new gauge cluster. Personally I'm hoping iDrive 7 comes with the gauge cluster as well, since I'm hoping to keep the M5 for a while and I'd love something where they upgrade the iDrive over time (mostly just for bug fixes, though new features would be great as well). |
That would be great as I am ready to order in the summer.
I'm also hoping for more 19 inch wheel options on the 550. Feel like the 3 series has a ton. I love the 20's but for ride quality and NY road hazards not ideal.
