if its a dream car for you then get it inspected, do your research on things that could go wrong with it, etc. If you are only driving it a few thousand miles a year i can't imagine the cost of ownership being too bad. maybe 800-1000 a year on service. From what i do remember reading you want to avoid the early models and the 4.3 liter motor. they upgraded to a 4.7 a year or two later.

If this is your daily i'd probably steer your to a e92 m3 for the v8 experience. but if its just a weekend toy the aston is a bit more 'special' in terms of looks, luxury, craftsmanship.
