Another strike against the multi seats is that BMW forces you to purchase leather upholstery to get them. I am not a huge fan of cowhide seats on cars. If there was an option to get them on SensaTec they would warranted another look.
That is a very valid point. My multi contour seats tighten the bolster when I fasten the seat belt giving me a nice enveloping seat.
The multi contours automatically adjust the side bolsters when the driving mode is set to sport.

While the sports seats have power side bolster adjustment, the setting is not tied to sport mode.
