The ceramic coatings memorialize the current state of the finish. A new car still needs to be corrected before locking in the paints condition.
The journey from factory floor to dealership is a war zone on your new paint. I would completely correct the car before coating it (clay bar, etc). You would be amazed at the condition of the new paint when looked under the proper light. Much of the cost of having ceramic coatings applied is the paint correction labor which proceeds the actual application of the coating.
