I had it work once .. and then haven't been able to replicate it since. Every time I push the indicator stalk the green edge of the road icon turns grey (which I assume means the lane assist is cancelled) and the lane change then doesn't work. Read since that you need to be above 70 km/h so perhaps that was the issue

. Haven'd had the car for long yet - more experimentation is needed.
