With my car being an Australian delivered vehicle, I can change the headlight beam pattern from LHD to RHD and vice versa in the iDrive settings when the car is not moving. I think these adaptive headlight are so advanced that they are no longer have a fixed physical shield in place but rather servo controlled dynamic shields for the purpose of high beam dimming.
