Keep in mind this is just a pilot program. Need to tackle this before scalable expansion though (public infrastructure targeted).
I attended a seminar and spoke with engineers (internally) from a car company. The issues with wireless charging testing was not only heating up elements inside the cabin (metal knobs, info control, etc.), but also heating up the cell phones and jewelry of anyone inside the vehicle. I wouldn't expect this to officially hit market *too* soon. I'd guess 2021 roughly...
