On the welcome lights, just confirming these are the lights that stay on for a few minutes, correct? Do the fronts still work?
I couldn't resist after doing a little comparing. Top is my car, bottom is someone else's. I added the badging back if you are wondering. Both Carbon black but different lighting.

Well, I am kind of trying to figure things out and am doing more research. The options seems to be:
-US spec lights with US Coding
-US spec lights with Euro Coding
-Euro spec lights with ? Coding
After I placed the order for US spec lights I heard back from the coder Vic. He said if I hadn't ordered them yet to get Euro spec as there will be no welcome lights issue. I followed up with a series of questions on installation and pin assignments, but I haven't heard back yet. I then read a few threads here on the options I mentioned above and my head is spinning. At first I thought the Euro lights were the way to go and would behave like US lights after coding, but I'm not sure.
The place I bought the US lights from said it will be 6-8 weeks (even though on checkout it said two weeks). So I cancelled which is a good thing because I need to figure this out. I can get the Euro lights for $100 bucks more and supposedly I'll have them in a few days.
I can't find any tutorials on the Euro lights installed on a US car. Wondering if the pin reassignment is the same? I'm having my shop install them but I think I will need to take them to school. There also something about an extra wire the Euro lights need but from what I've read it should be sitting there.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll have this all sorted out. Kind of feel like the coder Vic can answer most of my questions as he is the one that sent me off in the Euro spec direction.
