Managed to get the car cleaned up, I thought I share a few new pics
The front, you can see that one of the kidneys opens only partially, due to the thermal camera built in for the night vision:
Also, this from the side, tried to capture how interestingly Med Blue varies with the angle (and intensity) of the sun

I really like how impervious the car is with the combo of studded Nokian winter tires and xDrive - it really rails, regardless of the slippery surface. Drove the e46 today on the same road, back-to-back with the 540, they both have studded winter Nokian - boy, what a difference in traction!
