Found this great documentary,
Uppity: The Willy T. Ribbs Story, on Netflix this weekend while convalescing with the flu. I saw Willy race at numerous SCCA Trans-Am and IMSA races in the '80s.
Beyond the racing aspects of the film and the great videos of the era, it's a great story of a great man. It's a study in determination and focus, and transcending all the bullshit life throws us. Willy had more than his share chucked at him.
Special treat: the story of an altercation with Kaitlin (then Bruce) Jenner, including Kaitlin giving her side of it.
