I've got an original '59 lounge chair in Rosewood.
I bought it for cheap, many years ago, before the internet exploded on mid-century.
Previous owner had used bolts thru the side panel when the glued mounts failed (common failure). I had Herman Miller install new mounts, and then the St. Louis office sent the repaired shell to a local woodworker who made "matching" plugs...it's not perfect, but it is nice.
The original black leather upholstery is a little worse for wear around the edges...but...the thickness/quality is os much higher than the late production pieces.
Sadly, I've never even had it set-up in the house...just too many pieces, quite a few stored away in my "garage", including (2) Womb chairs, a bunch of Wakefield Aristocraft sofa pieces, and an Eames AL group sofa.
