Is nappa leather more prone to damage?

Hi,

Am considering nappa leather on my new car. I thought what is the big deal about nappa, but once I sat in a 5-series with black nappa leather (until then I was not a fan of black leather bcs I found it boring) I loved it. It really is a nice touch, soft, looks way better in real life, etc.

Now, the softness worries me a bit, does it wear out faster (lines, etc.). My last two cars had Leather Dakota Saddlebrown (E92) and now Chateau (X6). Both combinations looked great after usage, saddlebrown looked awesome after 4 years and 130,000km.

Any experience with nappa? I have kids now so it is important the leather is durable, because they can get hostile while strapped in the car seat.

Thans for your feedback!
