I'm considering purchasing a G30 540i with around 60,000 miles for just under 25k. Are there any potential issues or concerns I should be aware of given the higher mileage?

60K isn't that high mileage. Just check the available records and look for trouble items, like a serious collision.

Sold my F31 340i (same engine) with 72k miles bought with 8kmiles and trouble free motoring. My current G31 540i seems a better build quality than the F31 was, so doubt there would be any big issues to be concerned about.

As above check for accident damage / full service history and that it has been looked after well. You'll easily spot the one that hasn't been. Odd make tyres or budget ones are a clear indication that someone has skimped on the cost and perhaps doesn't care too much....maybe they have also done that on servicing too?

Should be fine. Consider getting the following preventative after purchase if you plan on keeping this car for a long time:

- ZF oil change
- coolant change
- diff oil change
- engine oil change
- new spark plugs

There's an almost 100% chance that the only thing done in the cars life has been oil changes and brakes. I prefer 0w-30 instead of the recommended 0w-20.

Guys since this thread seems active ill repost here lmao..... Monday I should be getting my new to me 2021 540i Xdrive. I'm in NJ so I plan on doing oil changes every 5k miles, esp with my heavy foot. I'm really looking to see how these B58s are, from my research they seem to be stout and reliable. My concerns are cost for repairs etc. Dealer is giving 7 year 100K on the powertrain only, but is bmw like nissan with warranties? Nissan will use any excuse under the sun to deny warranty work. Car has only 20k miles on it and holy shit is it smooth as butter, What an amazing car. Launch control is way too much fun. Is there any special shit I have to do monthly (or check on) with this car or just check from time to time for leaks etc? Is there anything in particular I need to look out for? Thank you in advance for any replies!

ps anyone else drive the shit out of theirs? Is it holding up to the abuse?

Just grabbed mine 2 weeks ago, 73k miles, MHD tuned to stage 1 after 2 days its smooth and I love it but also driving the shit out of it
