How to achieve G31 LCI MPPSK
Hi all,
I've acquired a 2022 G31 540i xdrive and really wanted to have the MPPSK fitted to give a little more pep and the improved exhaust note without it being too intrusive on a long drive. From what I've read, the original (17-19) G31 MPPSK cannot be fitted due to the GPF on LCI cars, so I'm looking for alternatives or information to contradict that. Can anyone advise what options are available to get the same result? Ideally, I wanted to keep the original exhaust tip shape (rather than M5 style.quad pipes), but swap to the carbon or black-look versions. On the BMW ebay shop they list part reference number 18302431035 as suitable for the LCI - but most online catalogue references only refer to the pre-LCI date range. Is this part the MPE? If so, can I then add exhaust tips and the torque converter part to make up my own MPPSK kit? I found this reference diagram for part numbers but I'm unclear which will actually fit the G31 Link Help appreciated |

Hi,
You can’t fit the MPPSK to the LCI as the kit contains an upgraded torque converter to deal with extra power that is required on Pre LCI cars and the BHP is increased from 340 to 375 The LCI cars already have this and are pushing 375 from factory so don’t need it. You will be able to fit just the MPE to an LCI Hope it helps Thanks Z |

Hi Bud,
Yes it should I know someone who had the MPPSK on their g30 pre Lci 540i and then bought a LCI G31 540i and fitted the exhaust with no issues just did not need the torque converter or the tune Thanks Z |

I thought so, but got a flat 'no' from the dealer.
Just picking this up again after a couple of weeks away. I may go ahead and order that one. Do you have any ideas on what exhaust tips will fit and maintain a standard-ish exhaust shape? I think the stainless BMW ones are now discontinued, and the carbon ones are an eye-watering price. If I can get that plan sorted, I may well go ahead with it. |
