Hi all, I've recently imported a near full options BMW 530e G31 from Germany and I'm trying to enable some options which the car should be able to do or are already available in the menu, but deactivated in my country. It's a LCI car from December 2023 with most available options like Driving Assistant Professional, Parking Assistant Plus, heated steering wheel, ventilated seats, etc.

I've coded some simple things with BimmerCode but I recently got an ethernet OBD cable and a BimmerUtility license in hopes of coding some more complex functions. For now those functions being Lane Change Assist and Traffic Light Assist. I've been reading the forums, Googling and asking ChatGPT, but so far have not been able to get these two coded successfully.

I've gotten as far as having both functions available in the menu, but Lane Change Assist is greyed out (can't check the checkbox) and Traffic Light Assist says not available in my country. I have all assist functions enabled on the most aggressive settings (early warning/intervention), but this didn't help.

Some values I've coded so far:

• HU_MGU -> SPURWECHSELASSISTENT from nicht_aktiv (00) to gen_1 (01).
• SAS3 -> C_NHA_Land_Spurwechsel_aktiv from FF, DF, FF, FE to FF, FF, FF, FF.
• SAS3 -> C_NHA_Land_Spurwechsel_aktiv_erweitert from FF, FF, FE, B8 to FF, FF, FF, FF.

*The country code changes to FF, FF, FF, FF don't seem to stick correctly though, even coding them one by one they change back to the original values after coding and rebooting/restarting the car.

Does anyone have suggestions of what precisely to code with BimmerUtility to get this to work? I use the iOS app in case that matters (don't have a Windows machine).

In order for lane change assistant to work, intelligent safety button needs to be fully enabled, no custom settings allowed. In pre-lci it is a button right next to hazard lights and once it is enabled it is in light green color I believe. Not sure if it is any different in lci.

Yeah, on the LCI it's similar. I've got all Intelligent Safety features enabled with 'ALL ON' instead of 'INDIVIDUAL', but this didn't help unfortunately.

Found a strange thing about the two restrictions parameters:

• SAS3 → C_NHA_Land_Spurwechsel_aktiv from FF, DF, FF, FE to FF, FF, FF, FF.
• SAS3 → C_NHA_Land_Spurwechsel_aktiv_erweitert from FF, FF, FE, B8 to FF, FF, FF, FF.

They seem to reset.
Every time I connect BimmerUtility (iOS), the values are back to default, not full FF. Europe G30 540iX LCI.
This may be also related to stricted regulations in Europe regarding autonomous features on cars, so it may be something that resets those values.

Seems it's not just me then...!

I got a big trip coming up, but after that I think I'll take the car to a coder to see if they can achieve this with other software. Will update here whatever the outcome will be.

Thanks, just gave that a go, but unfortunately the restriction parameters still keep resetting even with this removed.
