Call me a snob but no idea why someone would put a Taiwan knock off on their prestige German car. I would cringe every time I saw it no matter how well it looked. If you pay £30k+ for a car why save £100 on a cheap copy??

I was referring to your comment regarding the boot spoiler: "I would cringe every time I saw it no matter how well it looked" So if it looked really good, why would you cringe every time you saw it? Because it cost $100 rather than the $300 odd for the BMW one? Anyways, each to their own. |

I got the black grills off eBay, and they look no different to OEM. So why pay more?

Yep,I have the eBay spoiler, is 100% and fits perfect. I've looked at a friendss that has the bmw official version and we literally couldn't tell the difference

Let me know if you have any luck sourcing from Asia. I would love to see side by side comparison as I can't decide if it will make a huge visual difference on a 4 series.

I think the spoiler is a nice addition.
Its not in your face and distasteful, it looks in place on the car. If money was not an object I would get the full hog OEM M Performance kit but given there is little or no noticeable difference in the spoiler then the one that cost a 1/3 of the price seems a more sensible option to me. |

If you saw a 3 with a spoiler would you really sit there trying to work out if it's OEM or a knock off? Me thinks not. Unless there is something strikingly wrong with it not you, me or anyone else are ever going to know it's not OEM. Speaking as someone who let a main dealer rape me for the best part of £400 quid id wish I'd waited, got the knock off and spent the change on or towards another mod. Now I know I'm probably opening a smelly can of worms here but even with watches, unless I really want the real thing I'm happy with a knock off that looks as good as the real one. |

The quality of copied parts (all types of stuff) has overall improved dramatically.
Some is just good copying, straightforward copy of itemA. Other stuff is down to someone where item A is made, making extra stuff on same tooling line (it happens and is a pain trying to catch them at it ). Some copies could even be made at same plant as actual item. Admittedly it is always a risk buying known copies, but often is best way. However, I never buy fake electrical stuff as some is very dodgy and even locals don't use some lol. |

But it's not £100 cheaper than oem, it's around £450 fitted and sprayed from BMW , so it's £380 cheaper!! That is a seriously large amount of money for any 3 series owner!!

You're weakening the quality and brand of your car which seems crazy to me. Why not buy some retread tyres too? |
