Tartufo vs Mocha
Got another one for you guys. Anyone have personal experience with both Mocha Nappa and Tartufo Merino?
Not so much texture but just color. It’s hard to tell in pictures how much darker the Mocha is. I haven’t seen it in person. I have Tartufo in our X7. So I do have a reference point.

I have Mocha Nappa leather in my f15 X5. To me, Mocha is more like the color of a Hershey’s milk chocolate candy bar….and is very similar to the Cohiba brown Merino interior of my f06 (think the color of a cigar). When I see Tartufo…it reminds me more of cinnamon.

The Tartufo has a lot more orange tones to it. I would consider it to be a lighter and more vibrant color than Mocha. I drool at the little sample of it at the dealership all the time as I think it looks so much better than the Mocha that I have.
Have a look at this YouTube for your unobtanium unicorn Tartufo build: https://youtu.be/TCD75nCV2fU

I think Tartufo might be like Saddle Brown on my 328i. I have seen Mocha in person and it is too dark for me. I think the posters above have described it accurately. IMO the lighter/orange-ish browns look classier on BMW interiors.

I think the mocha looks best in a lighter coloured car but personally prefere the lighter 'browns'

I haven’t seen it in person, but I could see mocha being very appealing on white, silver, and maybe a light brown. I also think it would go well against any shade of blue.
