iOS should be able to block all numbers which have the same first 6 digits as mine

So there should be a caller ID block that blocks all numbers that start with the first 6 digits as my number. Surprised they haven't done this. What do you guys think or is there a way to do this.

Odd...I was thinking this the other day. Had 1 call with the first 6 and it popped in 4 junk voice mails somehow...all different numbers in the last 4, but with the first 6. Spam/blocked them all...but was thinking an app should block this if they are not a contact.

With this... wife is old school, insists we need a home phone. Only ones that call are telemarketers and the mother in law. Don't really need to speak with either...

We have a home number, but nothing connected to it. The online VM sates "IF you get here, don't leave a message because we won't be checking"

It's nuts that you have to pay for a phone and then pay for an app for it not to ring. I use nomorobo. It doesn't always stop the initial first 6 being the same but you can add it thereafter to the blocked list

I thought you could do that in iOS already. They'll just call you from another number with the same prefix so that won't work.

Yes, the phone has a block list but the app's blocked list is close to 1 million numbers. It blocks a lot from even getting to you, but sometimes one slips by.

Hopefully there is an exemption. My daughter’s phone has the same six digits as me. Actually we have the same number except for the last digit and she is one number off.

"Blacklist PRO: call blocker" allows you to block the entire range of numbers with the same first six. Despite the poor reviews, it works well for me and has proven to be well worth the small price.

Four days ago, I had 9 junk calls in a 5 hour period. All started with the same 6 digits. I think it would be a great idea.

If she is added as a contact then it wouldn't block it
