Resting my hand on center console and music starts playing at 8x speed?

Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Had the base of my palm resting on the console and my fingers lightly grazing the surfaces. Suddenly the music (playing on car from iPhone) sped up as if I were holding down the FFWD button, through the end of one song and into another. I checked the Gesture Control section of the manual and it didn’t describe anything like that. Is this a hidden “feature” in iDrive?
