2019 M550i Alpine White Colour Scheme Adjusted

These are the minor colour/part mods done on my new M550i.

(1) Front wheel-well cooling air duct trim changed from stock cerium grey to gloss black.

(2) Front fender reflectors and kidney grill camera trim replaced with IND pieces pre-painted.

(3) Front wheel-well vent louvres painted white (they are cerium grey stock)

(4) M performance rear bumper insert + black diffuser installed. The bumper insert was painted white, the diffuser gloss black.

Here's one picture which doesn't show the left/right mirror caps which were since painted the body colour white. The car cosmetics is all done, and I am happy now with the vehicle appearance.

You have any recent pictures with your side mirrors color matched to your car?

would want to see that if so.

Looks clean with the side louver/vent thing painted white.

Next week I will have the M Performance decals/film applied to the rocker panels. That will complete the cosmetic work on the car, at which time I will take (and post) a few more pictures.

That looks fantastic!!!!!!!! love the all white and of course, the M emblems on the fenders, I did that as well as they're euro spec and not cheesy. and those wheels! damn...

Talking about that tiny M emblem on the fenders, that is the way my car came from the factory. I've looked at various G30 pictures, and some cars have the emblems, some don't. Not sure why is that so.

I have only seen one with the emblems around Chicago - MINE! And that's cuz I added them but had to get them off ebay since I don't think they make black OEM ones, only chrome

Would it be possible that only Canadian cars get that fender M emblem, for god knows what reason ?

Were the front wheel-well vent louvres and bumper insert removed for painting?

The louvres were removed by my BMW service folks and then painted by an automotive paint shop.

The bumper insert + diffuser set was ordered from BMW, and it came primed for painting which was done by the same paint shop. Then again, the service techs removed the regular insert and installed the painted insert + diffuser.

Thank you Clabro. That's right, I've got no side skirt extensions. That is very unfortunate because in the absence of ground effects generated by the extensions I have to limit my Ontario autobahn speed to 170 miles/hr max.

I really like what you did with the car. I think the M550 should have more black trim, not sure what they were thinking with the cerium gray bits.

I also LOVE those wheels. Hope to get that set some day
