I don't like it at all. I preferred the full digital dash on my iDrive 6 2018 540 to the iDrive 7 on our 2019 X5 and my 2021 M550. But, I'd take the current digital display any day over iDrive 8. It continues to become too un-instrument like and I don't care for these earthy colors at all. Maybe it will be better in person, but I'm not at all encouraged by the aesthetics of this new system.
