Retro fitting a display key

I bought a 2019 540iX drive. It was used, but just what I wanted. It came with two key fobs. My question is about a display key. Is purchasing a display key important enough to warrant the cost. And can the display key provide any additional bells and whistles?
Any thoughts on the subject would be helpful.
Thanks

General consensus is no, it isn’t worth it. Expensive and provides nothing that the My BMW app doesn’t provide unless you have an M550i with the remote parking feature.

Yeah, agree with logical. It's a useless gadget that would be cool to have for the cool factor, but unless you have self parking which you don't or your car would have come with it, then it's pretty much a big giant key with a screen that does the same thing the MyBMW app does. Very expensive retrofit that's not worth it. It's also telling that BMW did away with it on the LCI's and went with the app and your phone to do the same thing, known as the digital key.

I have literally never used mine for anything other than remote control parking. It’s big and annoying. I wish rcp were possible on a normal key.

Ironically I have used my phone to unlock the car when I left the (display) key elsewhere.

I've had my car for 33 months now and have used remote parking only once...in my driveway to try it out. It's a cool feature that never gets used.
