Active Grill

Having installed the RKtunes front mount intake, I cut out the shutters on the active grill and left the motor in place like everyone says to NOT get the CEL. Sadly I still got the CEL somehow.

Has anyone successfully gotten the CEL to go away leaving the motor in place or does it absolutely have to be coded out?

Yes I've searched and it's a mixed bag. No updates on anything since last year.

Thanks
