Angry Air Conditioning Cooling is Insufficient

Bought a gently used 2018 530i back in December. Once the spring came along I noticed the AC seemed kinda iffy. I took it in today to get a diagnostic reading. They came back with Codes SI B64 06 17 and 80120A. Not sure really what I can do to get this taken care of, I more than likely wont be able to afford the repairs. Not sure if anyone else has had a similar issue. 80120A - Air conditioning compressor: Shut-down due to excess pressure in refrigerant circuit.

Maybe someone else has all the BMW diagnostic codes memorized, but I dont.
I'm what they call, a dim bulb.

It sounds like the system was overcharged and you simply need to take it to any AC shop to purge the system and have the proper amount of refrigerant added.

I'm just going by what the code is saying. I know little about HVAC systems, but I'd definitely try that first.

So what is the shop telling you? Is the compressor dead or just shut down to protect itself? If you are positive it needs a compressor, how about a salvage yard pull?

Sorry to say but I found the 2017 and 2018 g30s cooling to be less than ideal. Many trips to the dealer and basically got.. it’s working to spec. Got a 21 and it’s wayyyy better
