My G31 x-Drive emits random single squeaks from under the car. Never less than a second or two apart and almost sounds like there’s a baby bird stuck under there somewhere. Happens when the car is moving (can hear it in enclosed car parks) or after the car is stopped and the engine is turned off in my garage. So I’m pretty sure it’s not engine related (at least not a belt etc) nor do I think it’s a squeak from a brake or a suspension link.

My guess FWIW is that it’s something related to the self-levelling suspension - like a valve or compressor or whatever.

As I say, it’s completely random and not related to turning or braking. I even tried turning off the auto brake to see if it was that actuating but seemingly not.

Any clues please?
