G31 530d rear brake judder

Hello all. First post here; hope you can assist!

I have a 2018 530d xdrive and was experiencing brake fluctuation at the rear at higher speeds.
Lighter braking was worse. If I broke heavily it was not as bad……

Had rear discs and pads changed. Dealer also checked rear hubs for runout but all clear. After fitting the new discs, the brake judder is worse!!!

Dealer now saying that my wheels are out of round and that’s causing the issue. Surely I would feel a buckled wheel all the time and not just under braking?

They are refusing to check the new discs for runout but is there a chance of a manufacturing defect? Slim but possible!

Do you all think the wheel theory rings true?? I had the balancing checked and both rears were perfect. If I stared hard enough I thought I could see the offside wheel bobbing slightly though.

Would appreciate any help or similar stories that were sorted!

I recently replaced my tires and discovered a bent right wheel in the process. However, the symptoms of a bent rear wheel that I experienced was a vibration in the back of the vehicle at speeds ranging from 71-78 mph. At lower speeds and braking there was no issues with brakes or vibration of any type. Once wheel was straightened the high speed vibrations vanished.

If this is coming from a BMW dealer, I would suggest that you seek advice from another source as new OE wheels from BMW will be a very expensive repair particularly if the dealer is wrong.
