Hello,

Was trying to
Remove my door handle, as I was removing this screw the screw fell into my door itself.

Anyone know what screw this is or where I can find a replacement?

**Also is there any video or post that explains how to remove a door handle?

I'm not sure if you were supposed to attach a photo but I can't see a thing.

Also, go to YouTube and search for "G30 door card removal" and you'll find what you're looking for.

Same thing happened to me last week. Apparently it's a big job to get it out, since you need to take the door cart out, the inner piece with the glass, then the door support where this screw is attached. Here is a picture of the part. I can update once I get it done which is hopefully this week. Good luck!

The screw is attached or did it fall down?

I’m not too worried about the screw being inside my door but more worried about replacing the screw itself.

My door handle is ‘dislocated’ now and not fully flush to the inner wall.

Any ideas?

I believe my screw fell inside with the white piece together. My dealer said this pieces are not sold separately so you got to buy the whole assembly. Part #51-21-9-881-776. How do you plan on fixing it? I have ista and was gonna follow those instructions

I think that screw is going to roll around and rattle every time you accelerate or brake hard .....

Looks like an M8 bolt to me, buy a few different millimeter sixes and have at it. That said, what am I missing here? Can't you just pop off the door card and retrieve it?

That's probably part # 51219463885 but I'd call your nearest dealer. They can look it up for you and most likely have it.

Went into my service and parts department and the bastards couldn't figure it out.

The guy at the front couldn't even read the part drawings correctly..

In the mean time I ordered a few different screws - will try to install and update you guys.

Just worried i'll drop more screws in the door hahah

I guess I’m not familiar with where you dropped it and lost it. The door card is very easy to pop off but I wouldn’t call the disassembling the whole door, so sounds like it’s somewhere else.

If you watch this ^ it should give better reference.

I don't think I unscrewed the correct screw according to this video.. not sure.

I used a T25 (torx) to remove the dropped screw, would the m8 you posted possibly work as well?

I'm planning on just ordering a crap load until one fits lol

It looks like an M8 and I know BMW uses a ton of M8 screws in the cars. Worth a shot, cheap enough.

I just fished my part out today. With ISTA was fairly straightforward until I realized how to disengage the window from the carrier. LMK if anyone wants the job for it, I have it saved as pdf. Here are a few pics.

The threads in that screw look unique. Second guessing the M8 tight millimeter threading I posted.

Damn, there’s no way it’s specifically for BMW right?

I’d would still order them. Worth a shot. Easy enough to return with Amazon.

Keep me posted. Genuinely curious.
